VICTORY OVER TEMPTATION

WORDS OF LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
January 8th, 2016 (Friday)

[Topic] - VICTORY OVER TEMPTATION

[Scripture] - James 1:13 (KJV) "Let no man say when he's tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man."

[Message] - Good morning ☺

First, we have to clearly state that there's a difference between temptation and trials/tests. Temptations are of the devil while trials/tests come from God. James 1:13, "Let no man say when he's tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man." The devil tempts us to bring out the worst in us while God tests us to bring out the best in us.

Now that we know that there's a difference between temptation and test, and that temptations are of the devil while tests are of God, there's something about temptations that we must overcome, we must get to that point where we have victory over temptation.

It's not biblical and from the pit of hell for anyone to say that it's not possible to obtain victory over temptations. Jesus did and since He's our perfect example, we also can. Hebrews 4:15 says, "...but was tempted in all points, like as we are, yet without sin." So, you and I can have victory over temptation.

The temptations will always come, and that isn't the sin. We commit the sin when we fall for the temptation. How then can we have victory over temptation? The answer is The Word and Faith.
The Word+Faith = Victory over temptation.

When the Word is mixed with faith, anything can happen, anything is possible, any height is attainable, including victory over temptation. As you put the Word in action, mixed with faith in your heart, I see you attaining the level where you have victory over temptation. Amen.
