Don't get too comfortable

7th November, 2015 (Saturday) - WORDS OF LIFE

(Theme) :-  DON'T GET TOO COMFORTABLE

(Scripture) :- Deuteronomy 1:6-8, KJV. "
6: The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
7: Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.
8: Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them."

(The Word) :- Good morning Precious. Hope the night was great?

As humans, when a good opportunity comes, there's always the tendency to grab it and want to hold on to it. For example, if we get a job with a good pay, we want to do all we can to keep the job so that we do not lose it. However, we, many times, make the mistake of getting too comfortable with the good conditions of where we are.

There's always something better than the good. The best is yet to come. Until we are at the level of the best, we can't afford to be too comfortable with the 'good' or the 'better'. No! Let me repeat that: Until we are at the level of the best, we can't afford to be too comfortable with the 'good' or the 'better'.

In our anchor scripture, we see that the children of Israel were too comfortable with where they were at Horeb that they lost sight of the land flowing with milk and honey (the promised land) that God already promised them. God saw this and had to push them out of that place to His best for them.

Have you gotten too comfortable with where you are because of the things you see that you have almost lost sight of what actually has in mind for you? You can't be comfortable just yet, God isn't through with you. There's a higher level and it's sure better than where you are now. If you hold on to where you are now, you won't be able to access where you should be.

If you're in the 'good', there's a 'better' one and if you're already in the level of the 'better', the best is yet to come. You can't afford to be too comfortable with where you are. Turn you, and take your journey! #SELAH
