BE LED BY THE SPIRIT

10th November, 2015 (Tuesday) - WORDS OF LIFE

BE LED BY THE SPIRIT

Romans 8:14, AMP. "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."

Good morning. Hope you slept good?

The moment we became born again, we received the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit began to work from our inside to make us look like God (2 Cor. 3:18). Our bodies became the temple of God's Spirit. So all who are saved have the Spirit inside of them.

The works of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer are numerous. One of them is guidance into all truths (John 16:13). Jesus Himself also said that the believer will never walk in darkness (John 8:12). This means there's no confusion about the life of the believer.

However, many believers today are confused about too many things. They don't know who to marry, what course to study, whether to take an appointment or not, whether to go on a journey or not, what step to take with their careers, and so on. If Jesus promised light, then why are some believers still walking in darkness?

This could be because we are not giving the Holy Spirit attention. He's in our hearts and He speaks to us but we are either not spiritually sensitive to the Spirit when He speaks or after He speaks and we hear, we intentionally ignore it. And today, we see these people running to men of God to ask what God's will for their life is. It was in the Old Testament that the people met the priests for such reasons. Since the Holy Spirit was given, every believer had access to God.

God relates with us as individuals. He will not reveal His will for your life through someone else. He can only give them a confirmation of what He has already told you. If we give attention to the Spirit, we will hear Him speak. All answers you may need are with Him. Ask Him and you will receive divine guidance (Isaiah 30:21). It's God's will that we are guided. However, if we seek divine guidance from men, it'll be our own undoing. #SELAH
